LifeSpaceJourney

The home renovation of the hundred year old worker's cottage by Glenn Lamont of Melbourne-based design and manufacturing practice LifeSpaceJourney is a real product of workmanship. Apparently the cottage was originally uninhabitable but Glenn's imagination has tailored it into a modern yet grounded open plan space. Wood, steel and copper are common elements of the work of LifeSpaceJourney keeping an earthy tone throughout.

I first became aware of the practice in London at the Clerkenwell Design Week 2012 under the umbrella of MATILDA, an Australian label representing 10 of the nation's best. Their C1Flange and C2Fat pendent lights in brushed copper are my favourite products, but I could recommend almost everything to my clients. Glenn's home is the perfect showroom of their work.
